About Us
60 Years of History
Ramacciotti’s history begins in 1959 in Lucca at the heart of Tuscany. A history that involves passion, tradition and great ability to adapt to evolving lifestyles thanks to the company who managed to renovate itself with competence and creativity throughout the years.
Their history begins with the production of hangers and chopping boards made of wood, material that
represents quality and craftsmanship par excellence. Then, the market orients itself towards a much more
versatile and competitive material: plastic. This is when the company extends the production to all the
household items that support families in daily life: from kitchen containers, salad spinners, to baskets and
much more.
In 1983 the company has its creative breakthrough thanks to the collaboration with a German designer. The Authentics line is born, a line with colourful, minimal design and unique originality. The magazine rack and the Square basket are the line’s symbols. This unique basket with a rounded base that becomes square at the top edge, was also displayed at the New York MOMA, a further evidence of the great creativity of the product.
In 2003 the market evolves, houses become smaller and Ramacciotti decides to take a new path. The first
cloth dryers are born, the most famous being Nanni Lo Stendipanni. They are nowadays present in all
Europe and some countries of the world.
Today, the company continues along its path of evolution with a new line dedicated to sustainability,
thanks to the use of second life plastic, creating a green product tailored for the new generations that
consider sustainability one of their core values.
